Kundalini yoga is a form of yoga that focuses on the awakening and flow of energy, known as Kundalini, within the body. It aims to awaken this energy and bring it up through the chakras, or energy centres, in the body, in order to achieve higher levels of consciousness and spiritual enlightenment.
It is very different to styles we are used to on Hearts Wellness but a powerful practice if given a chance. Be patient, you have to be ready to surrender & try something new here.
Kundalini uses repetitive movements & breathwork to really pull up the energy from the base of the spine. If you really tune in & embrace the practice, you can even feel this energy moving through the body.
It is very beginner friendly & can leave you with this wonderful high. Not to be done while pregnant as there are multiple breath holds. This is where you’ll feel bliss.
